The Prototype Collection The prototype furniture collection being offered here arises from a tradition that goes back at least 4 generations in the Mason family. A tradition expressing love and appreciation of the spiritual essence of designing & making unique furniture designs of outstanding quality as a legacy for future generations to enjoy. Born at mid century, Wm. Augustus Mason has been designing and building since 1969...the collection of pieces shown on these pages are the prototypes of several furniture lines created by Wm.
You are invited to own pieces handmade to the exact design of this historically important collection from one of the Southern United States premier designer/builders. The Collection The Charleston Gun Cabinet's hand made splayed bracket feet are unique and just the first design element that defines the importance of this exquisitely beautiful and functional design.... Made in oak, the handmade parabolic cove crown moulding is perfectly accented by the dentil moulding that meets its lower edges. With fittings for 11 guns, the large glass panel doors feature Craftsman style chamfered edge details which are accentuated by the solid brass hinges and pulls. Locks on the upper doors and 2 drawers offer convenience and safety for your collection of guns, especially those with long barrels .. The photo shows the Charleston Bookcase configuration chosen by clients preferring this use. . . this option is available for the prototype offered here as well. Overall Dimensions are: 47" wide x 87" high x 21 3/4 " deep The Savannah Huntboard is made in solid Honduran Mahogany and is an adaptation of the uniquely southern Huntboard.... Standing 42 3/4" high it is perfectly suited to grace a foyer, greeting guests with an introduction to your taste for beauty and function. At 22" deep by 72" long the Savannah is also perfect as a serving buffet or a stand-up desk. The 5 drawers feature picture frame moulding surrounding the imported sand cast brass knobs. The European style side mount drawer slides ensure generations of convienent and enjoyable use. Made in 1992, this is the prototype for a series of only five pieces...... $5500.00 plus shipping & handling The Westchester Curio Cabinet is an outstanding example of proportion enhancing the natural beauty and graceful elegance of Heart Pine wood. The beveled glass reveals the interior raised panel back and is the perfect foil for your collection of fine objects d'art. Twin incandescent lamps illumine the interior . Solid brass knobs complete the subtle effect. As with all of my furniture, the top and back are finished to the same specifications as the front and sides, allowing the piece to be used freestanding in an appropriate situation.
